A new trailer was released on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “SentenCed to be a hero” (Japanese: “Yuusha Kei Ni Shosu”). You can watch the video below in this article.
Start in January 2026
“SentenCed to be a hero” is created under the direction of Hiroyuki Takashima (“Mushoku Tensei”) in the studio Kai. Kenta Ihara (“Loner Life in Another World”) wrote the script, while Takeru Noda creates the character design.
The streaming service Crunchyroll shows the fantasy series, whose start on Japanese television was postponed from October 2025 to January 2026, in the original sound with German subtitles in the Simulcast. A specific appointment is still open.
The original Light Novel of the same name by Rocket Shoukai has been published with illustrations by Hitomi Shizuki in Japan since September 2021. A manga implementation of Natsumi Inoue made his debut in March 2022 in the »Dengeki Comic Regulus« magazine.
