On the official X-account of the anime adaptation of “Made in Abyss”, it was announced today that it receives a new film series. You can find a visual below.
First film next year
The first film that bears the title “Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery” (Japanese: “Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi”) and introduces the new characters to Tepaste and Cravagli is expected to start in the Japanese cinemas in the course of next year. However, a specific date is not yet known.
The Studio Kinema Citrus is once again responsible for the production of the first strip, in which Masayuki Kojima (“Black Bullet”) direction and Hideyuki Kurata (“Rurouni Kenshin”) wrote the script. The character design is again created by Kazuchika Kise (»XXXHOK«) and Yuka Kuroda (since season 2).
The anime adaptation of »Made in Abyss« has so far comprises a total of two seasons as well as two recap movies and a sequel film. The publisher Leonine Anime brought the series and the films on DVD and Blu-ray.
