The ZDF recently added the French live action adaptation of “Cat’s Eyes” to its media library. We summarize below.
Available free of charge
The eight-part “Cat’s Eyes” series is now available free of charge with German setting and in the French original version with subtitles in the ZDF media library. The TV broadcast starts on July 27, 2025 on ZDFneo.
The French real series from 2024 was staged by Alexandre Laurent and produced by Big Band Story. It was created in cooperation with TF1 and ZDFNEO and in cooperation with the streaming provider Prime Video.
The underlying manga series comes from Tsukasa Hojo, who published it between June 1981 and January 1985 in the “Weekly Shonen Jump”. A first anime adaptation was published under the title “A Supertrio: Cat’s Eyes” at Kazé Anime. In September 2025, Disney+ brings out an anime remake.
