Even ten days after the start, the first “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film sets new standards on the Japanese box office. We summarize below.
Further records
With impressive record revenue of 5.5 million yen (around 32 million euros), the highly expected canvas had a brilliant start at the start weekend – and was able to continue his triumphal march with further records in the following days.
After only seven days, the film cracked the magical brand of ten billion yen (around 58 million euros) and thus significantly faster than the previous record holder »Mugen Train« (ten days). With the end of the second weekend and thus ten days after the premiere, the total revenue amounts to 12,872,176,700 yen (around 74 million euros) at 9.104,483 spectators – also a new record!
But even if the strip is extremely successful, the tremendous hype unfortunately also has its dark sides, because countless pirated copies on social networks and on piracy websites still give the rights holders a lot of work.
In Germany, the first »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« film starts on September 18, 2025 with German and Japanese voice output in the cinema.
