On the X account of the “Demon Slayer” franchise, it was recently announced that the first film of the “Infinity Castle” trilogy has been able to reach a new milestone in the past few days. We summarize the details.
Over 19 million visitors
Since July 18, 2025, the new evening filler has implemented around 28.09 billion yen (around 163.5 million euros) at 19,825,555 sold tickets and thus secured third place in Japan.
Last weekend the strip also left the cult classic “Titanic” behind. This means that only “Chihiro’s trip to the Magic Land” (2001) of Studio Ghibli with 31.68 billion yen and the predecessor “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” (2020) with 40.75 billion yen before the first “Infinity Castle” part.
The theatrical release in Germany, Austria and German -speaking Switzerland is planned for September 18, 2025 with German and Japanese setting.
