The first “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film recently reached sixth place in the top-selling movies of all times in Japan. We summarize.

Top 5 within reach

In the meantime, 25 days have passed since the cinema premiere, but the first part of the “Infinity Castle” trilogy continues to continue its extremely impressive record run and is now the most successful film of all time in Japan with 15,698,202 admitted admission tickets and income of a total of 22.072.191,500 yen (around 128 million euros).

This means that the film is still on track to take first place for itself sooner or later, because the current leader “Mugen Train” is still enthroned there with 40.43 billion yen (around 234 million euros), but performed quite similarly with 15,373,943 tickets sold and 20,483,611,650 yen in 24 days.

First of all, however, the films “your name.” (25.17 billion yen), “Frozen” (25.50 billion yen), “Titanic” (27.77 billion yen) and finally “Chihiro’s trip to the Magic Land” (31.68 billion yen) are overtaken, but that is really only a matter of time. We keep you up to date as usual.

In Germany, the first »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« film starts on September 18, 2025 with German and Japanese voice output in the cinema.
