
On July 18, 2025, the hotly expected first film of the »Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle« trilogy celebrated its premiere in the Japanese cinemas-and the first trailer confirms how much the fans are looking forward to the spectacle.
Record calls in 24 hours
Within a day, the Japanese version achieved around 42 million views on social media. Success on the X platform (formerly Twitter) is particularly noteworthy. There the video came alone on the official account of the anime adaptation to 14.1 million views.
But Tikok’s numbers are also impressive: Crunchyroll achieved 9.1 million views there and thus attracted great attention – although the video was not published in the top format that is otherwise typical of the platform.

In the meantime, the number of calls has increased even further. It remains to be seen how successfully the film will do for the theatrical release in Japan – but it would hardly be surprising if the next record message will follow soon. In Germany, the film will start in the cinema on September 18, 2025.
