
New details about the second season were announced today on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special” (Japanese: “Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu”). You can find a first teaser below.

The second season of “A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special” will once again be produced by the Arvo Animation studio and is expected to premiere on Japanese television sometime next year. A specific date is still open.
The first season of the fantasy series was directed by Taishi Kawaguchi (“Irina”), while Takamitsu Kouno (“The Beginning After the End”) wrote the script and Hiromi Katou (“Kingdoms of Ruin”) contributed the character design.
The streaming service Crunchyroll is showing the sequel in simulcast and is already offering the twelve-part first season, which ran on Japanese television from October to December 2023, in the original sound with German subtitles on demand.
