A German setting has not yet been explicitly confirmed, but is considered very likely. In Germany, the anime, which started on July 6, 2025 on Japanese television, is entitled “Kaoru and Rin”.
The Studio CloverWorks is responsible for the production of the 13 episodes, in which Miyuki Kuroki (episode Director at “Spy X Family”) is directed and Rino Yamazaki (“Akebi’s Sailor Uniform”) wrote the script.
The original manga series of the same name comes from Saka Mikami and has been published in Japan in the “Magazine Pocket” since October 2021. The work is available in stores by Egmont Manga with German translation.
