The new recap and preview film for “Jujutsu Kaisen” opened in Japanese cinemas with great success. We have the first numbers for you.
1st place in Japan
The latest film spin-off entitled “Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins-” attracted a total of 417,700 visitors to 338 Japanese cinemas in the first three days after its theatrical release on November 7, 2025.
The resulting revenue of 640 million yen catapulted the film, which is a mixture of a summary of the “Shibuya Incident” arc from the second season and the first two episodes of the upcoming third season, straight to the top of the Japanese box office charts.
The global launch will be delayed – a circumstance that is probably partly responsible for numerous illegal film recordings on the Internet. The rights holders therefore warned in a statement of the consequences of copyright infringement. The evening filler will run in Germany from November 25, 2025, also in IMAX.
The third season, which adapts the “Culling Game” arc, can be seen regularly in the simulcast on Crunchyroll from January 8, 2026 in the original Japanese audio with German subtitles. The first two seasons are already available.
