The two Japanese companies Square Enix and Sunrise recently announced that they were working on a prequel anime for the video game “Starwing Paradox”. We summarize and show you a first teaser below.
Heavy start in August 2025
The new evening filler entitled “As One” tells an original history of “Starwing Paradox” and starts on August 22, 2025 in the Japanese cinemas. It is currently still unclear whether the film will also be published in Germany.
The studios Honoo and Gooneys are responsible for production, in which Koubun Shizuno (“Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters”) takes on the direction. The script is written by Shatner Nishida, Kana Matsui and Masaya Honda.
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (“Grendizer U”), who has already acted as a character designer in the original game, which was released in Japan in November 2018 and was now involved, also takes on this role in the film.

Action:
20 years before the game: You, a student with musicians, alienates himself from his band and family. One day he hears a voice, is devoured by light and ends up in the world Meguriboshi, where two nations struggle for energy. There, robot mechanic Rako loses awareness and comes into contact with you in a dream with you.
