After a long radio silence, the makers of the Hollywood live action adaptation of “My Hero Academia” (Japanese: “Boku No Hero Academia”) recently announced that a new screenwriter could be hired. We summarize.
Film continues to work
As early as October 2018, it was announced that “My Hero Academia” is to be implemented as a real film, produced by Legendary Entertainment. After that, four years passed before Shinsuke Satou (“Alice in Borderland”) was confirmed as a director and Netflix was added as another production partner.
At that time, Joby Harold (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) was entrusted with the script, but apparently his work did not meet expectations. After almost three years of radio silence, Jason Fuchs was now presented as the new screenwriter.
In the past, Fuchs already worked on the script of the Hollywood blockbuster “Wonder Woman” and also acted as a co-developer, co-show runner and executive producer of the upcoming horror series “IT: Welcome to Derry”.
It is to be hoped that this collaboration will be permanent this time and will soon follow more news. We keep you up to date as usual.
