The Pokémon Company announced today that there is currently a new stop motion series for the »Pokémon« franchise in the works. You can find a teaser below.
Start in 2027
The new series is entitled “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu” and is expected to start in the course of 2027. A concrete date and the participants in the production are still pending.
The new project is being built in cooperation with the British animation studio Aardman, which has already worked on “Shaun Das Schau” and “Wallace & Gromit”. In the course of a live stream for announcement, it was said:
»Lauchzelot and Pichu take on the main roles in a series that plays in a well -known region – a place that is particularly important to Aardman. The series gives a special view of the Pokémon world, this time from the perspective of the Pokémon itself, and is characterized by Aardman’s characteristic style […]«
The “Pokémon” franchise already produced a stop motion series entitled “The Pokémon-Concierge”, which is available internationally at Netflix. The four -part second part will be released there on September 4, 2025.
