A new trailer was published on the official X account of the anime adaptation of »Backstabbed in A Backwater Dungeon«. You can find the video below.
Start in October 2025
“Backstabbed in A Backwater Dungeon” is produced under the direction of Katsushi Sakurabi (“Alice & Zoroku”) in Studio JCstaff. Hiroshi Oonogi (“Realist Hero”) wrote the script, while Yukie Suzuki creates the character design.
The opening song “Sen Yori Kaminari Ya, Sarariya Takaki” comes from Tei (ending of “The Weakest Tamer”). The fantasy anime will run on Japanese television from October 3, 2025. A simulcast has not yet been announced.
The original Light Novel of the same name by Shisui Meikyou has been published with illustrations by TEF in Japan since May 2021. A manga adaptation by Takafumi Grandmae has also been published in the »Magazine Pocket« since May 2021.
