A new trailer for the eighth season was published on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia” (Japanese: “Boku No Hero Academia”). You can find the video below.
Start in October 2025
The eighth and at the same time the last season of “My Hero Academia” is again under the direction of director Naomi Nakayama (“Koikimo”) in the studio Bones. Kenji Nagasaki (“Gundam Build Fighters”) acts again as a chief director, while Yousuke Kuroda (“Sword Art Online Alternative”) writes the script.
The streaming service Crunchyroll shows the sequel, which is expected to be broadcast on Japanese television from October 2025, in the original setting with German and English subtitles in the Simulcast.
All seven previous seasons, all four films and the current spin-off series “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” (Japanese: “Vigilante: Boku No Hero Academia Illegals”) are already available in German and in the OMU version.

In a world in which 80 % of people with superpowers are born, the powerless Izuku Midoriya dreams of being a hero. When he gets the ability “one for all” from the legendary All Might, a hard path begins at the UA high school for him.
