The second season of »Kaiju No. 8 «Developed under the direction of director Shigeyuki Miya (» Afterlost «) in the Studio Production IG Yuuichirou Kido (» Fruits Basket «) wrote the script, while Tetsuya Nishio creates the character design.
The opening song “You Can’t Run from Yourelf”, which is presented in which trailer, comes from the Norwegian singer Aurora. The second season starts on July 19, 2025 with the first new episode on Japanese television and as a simulcast on X (Twitter) and crunchyroll. A German version has already been confirmed.
Two weeks earlier, on July 5, 2025, the Side Story episode »Hoshina’s Free Day«, which was already included in the recap film for the first season, will be released on Crunchyroll. All twelve episodes of the first season are already available on call.
