The opening of an official website announced that the novel series “Oedo Fire Slayer: The Legend of Phoenix” (Japanese: “Hikuidori”) will receive an anime implementation as a TV series next year. You can find a first visual below.

“Oedo Fire Slayer: The Legend of Phoenix” will be produced in Studio Synergyp (“Good Bye, Dragon Life”) and broadcast on Japanese television from January 2026. More details, such as those involved in the production, have so far been pending.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Yuuichirou Umhara (Tougo Hoshikawa in “Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with you.”) As Gengo Matsunaga and Shuichirou Umeda (Haruka in “Loner Life in Another World”) are heard.
Shogo Imamura’s original work has been published in Japan since March 2017. A manga adaptation by Shinobu Seguchi, which soon also appears in English, debut in April 2024 in the “Weekly Shonen Champion” magazine.
