Olaf Scholz is now speaking at the Republica
Olaf Scholz is the first Chancellor to speak at the Republica digital conference. Together with the former “Tagesschau” spokeswoman and ProSieben presenter Linda Zervakis, he will talk about “digital politics at the turn of the century”.
At the digital trade fair Republica in Berlin, the federal government wants to set accents. At the multi-day congress, which deals with digital policy, the digital future and social issues relating to the Internet, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz will speak alongside Interior Minister Nancy Faeser. In a conversation with the former “Tagesschau” spokeswoman and ProSieben presenter Linda Zervakis, it should be about “digital politics in the turning point”.
On Wednesday, the first day of the fair, Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil was also a guest at the Republica. Today, in addition to Olaf Scholz, Federal Digital Minister Volker Wissing has also been announced, on Friday Federal Minister for Family Affairs Lisa Paus (Greens) and Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD).
The Republica is one of the largest congresses of its kind in Europe. In 2019 it was last organized as an analogue trade fair with 25,000 visitors, then came the corona pandemic. There were online conferences in 2020 and 2021. This time it is again a suburban meeting in the capital.
