The live-action film adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpointtitled Omniscient Reader: The Prophecywill officially premiere in theaters worldwide starting in July 2025. The film will be released in South Korea on July 23, 2025, with a North American release scheduled for August 1, 2025. Lotte Entertainment is handling distribution, with this being the first of a five planned feature films.
The confirmed main cast includes:

- Jisoo (Blackpink) as Lee Ji-hye
- Chee to bin as Yoo Sang-ah
- Shin seung-ho as Lee Hyun-sung

- Choi Young-joon as Han Myung-oh
- Nana as Jung Hee-won
- Kwon Eun-seong as Lee Gil-young

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint began as a web novel written by singNsongfirst published on Munpia in 2018. Since then, the franchise has expanded into multiple formats, getting a large global following along the way. The webcomic adaptation, illustrated by the artist collective Sleepy-C and adapted by Umiis currently serialized on WEBTOON under the title Omniscient Reader. As of June 18, 2025, the series has accumulated over 480 million views over 259 chapters.
Anime Corner had the chance to have an interview with the head of Sleepy-C, lead artist for Omniscient Reader’s Viewpointwhere they discussed the path from early drawing to directing the webtoon’s art at Studio 3D2S. Yen Press is publishing a print version of the webtoon as a graphic novel, describing the story:
As a struggling office worker, Dokja Kim’s sole joy in life is an online novel so obscure that he’s its only reader. Then one day the story comes to an end…and so does the world. People all around the globe suddenly find themselves being massacred by horrific monsters or pitted against each other in sadistic scenarios straight out of the novel.
