The “One Punch Man” franchise wrote history a few days ago and the Guinness World Record for “Most people who perform a serious punch from› One Punch Man ‹« set up. We summarize below.

1.107 Serious Punches

The world record was reached on July 5, 2025 during the “One Punch Man” panels on the Anime Expo in Los Angeles after a total of 1,107 fans together with Makoto Furukawa (Japanese voice of Saitama), Max Mittelman and Greg Chun (English voices of Saitama and Garou) as well as manga editor Toshihiro Oshima and anime producer Chinatsu Matsui performed the »Serious Punch«.

The record attempt was carefully organized and the participants were able to practice the pose and the Japanese pronunciation in a special area in advance to ensure that everything corresponds to the standards of Guinness World Records.

Apparently with success, because when Furukawa gave the sign, the synchronized blow was carried out without any problems – followed by loud cheers and applause.

The record marks the beginning of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the anime series, whose first season celebrated its premiere in October 2015. Exactly ten years later, in October 2025, the long -awaited third season.
