Prime Video shows new »Panty & Stocking« anime in the Simulcast

The Streaming Service Prime Video announced today that the license was secured in the continuation of the original anime “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt”. We summarize the details for you below.
Start in July 2025
The sequel is entitled “New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt” and starts on July 9, 2025 in a censored version on Japanese television. The series will be shown internationally from July 10, 2025 at Prime Video in the Simulcast. The uncensored “original version” follows on July 15, 2025 at the Japanese Pay TV station AT-X.
The Trigger studio is responsible for the production of the sequel, in which Hiroyuki Imaishi (“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”) directs the script together with Hiromi Wakabayashi.
The 13-part first anime series of Studio Gainax’s original project ran on Japanese television in autumn 2010 and is currently not licensed in this country. Thus, the anime is neither available on Blu-ray nor in the stream.
