An entry in the ProSieben Maxx program plan announced today that the free TV station will broadcast the film »Suzume« again in a few weeks with German language version. We summarize.
Repetition in August 2025
The two-hour drama film “Suzume” can therefore be seen again on ProSieben Maxx on August 15, 2025 at 8:15 p.m. Afterwards, the evening filler can be streamed free of charge in Joyn’s media library for a limited period of time. A repetition takes place at 00:50.
The Studio Comix Wave Films was responsible for the production of the strip, in which Makoto Shinkai (“Your name.”) Took over. The evening filler celebrated its German TV premiere on ProSieben Maxx on January 1, 2025.
Crunchyroll and Netflix offer the film with German and Japanese setting on demand. In April 2024 it appeared on DVD and Blu-ray.

The 17-year-old Suzume has to close magical doors in disaster areas of Japan to prevent further destruction. It all starts in Kyushu, where she meets a mysterious door in the middle of ruins. When she touches her, portals open all over the country – Suzume begins a race against mischief.
