On the official X-account of the anime adaptation of the “Rascal Does Not Dream” series (Japanese: “Sishun Butta Yarou”), it was announced today that this will be continued with another film. You can find a first teaser below in this article.
Premiere next year
The new evening filler is entitled “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend” and, after current planning, celebrates its premiere in the Japanese cinemas in the course of the next year. A specific date is still pending.
The film is a direct continuation of the second “Aobuta” series “Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus”, which was ended today with the 13th episode. This, in turn, ties in with the first three films that play after the first series entitled “Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai”.
In Germany, the publisher Peppermint Anime already published the first series and the first film (“Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl”) on Blu-ray.
The two other films (“Rascal does not dream of a sister venture out” and “Rascal does not dream of a Knapsack Kid”) will be published as a limited edition in December 2025, while the second series is exclusively available on crunchyroll.
