The original Manga series from Osamu Tezuka was released from November 1950 to April 1954 and already produced a 52-part anime implementation, which was first launched on Japanese television from October 1965 to September 1966.
Later, a 26-part sequel entitled “Jungle Taitei: Susume Leo!”, Which was broadcast from October 1966 to 1967, and a 52-part new series that started in October 1989. The first anime appeared on Blu-ray at Nipponart.
