Rookie boy group Riize is set to return with its first LP “Odyssey” on May 19, according to its agency SM Entertainment on Monday.
The new album marks the group’s first major release in about 11 months after its first EP “Riizing” in June.
“Odyssey” will feature 10 tracks and is available for preorder from Monday through various online and offline music retailers.
Known for distinctive promotional strategies, Riize is preparing what the agency describes as its “first, best, and biggest” promotions yet.
Ahead of the album’s official release, the group will launch the “Riize Premiere,” offering fans an opportunity to watch visual content for all tracks — online starting May 14 and offline from May 15.
Riize released the trailer for the premiere through the group’s official YouTube channel at midnight. The clip, reminiscent of a blockbuster movie with its cinematic scale and intricate details, captivated viewers. Further details about the premiere will be announced sequentially.
In addition, Riize launched a new Instagram account (@riize_odyssey) to document its “real-time odyssey” related to the album. New teaser images were revealed Monday through this account as well as through the group’s other social media channels.
Meanwhile, Riize has been gaining significant popularity with their signature “emotional pop” genre through hits like “Get A Guitar,” “Love 119” and “Boom Boom Bass.” The group has already achieved notable milestones, including charting three songs on the country’s largest music streaming service, Melon’s 2024 year-end chart, and recording two consecutive million-selling albums.
