The RTL+ offering is now available to Amazon customers as an additional channel directly via Prime Video and the associated apps. We summarize.
Even without a Prime subscription
Until now, RTL+ was only available via its own platform and app, but the VoD service is now expanding its reach and can now also be subscribed to via Amazon for 12.99 euros per month. A Prime subscription is not required. Those interested can initially test the service free of charge for seven days.
Stephan Schmitter, CEO of RTL Deutschland, commented: »Strong partnerships are more important today than ever. We are therefore very pleased that we are now expanding our long-standing collaboration with Amazon on various levels to include RTL+. As the leading German streaming service, our aim is to be widely available.«
Henning Nieslony, Chief Streaming Officer at RTL Deutschland, added: »Thanks to the new additional channel integration, all Amazon customers can book our streaming service directly from Prime Video.
This gives us the opportunity to tap into completely new target groups and sustainably increase the visibility of our strong content.«
RTL+ is particularly known for reality shows, series, films and live sports broadcasts such as soccer, football and motorsports, but also offers some anime content with titles such as “Naruto”, “Boruto”, “Pokémon” and “Beyblade X”.
