The opening of an official website recently announced that the Light-Novel series “Scum of the Brave” (Japanese: “Yuusha no Kuzu”) received an anime adaptation as a TV series. You can find a first teaser below.
Start in January 2026
“Scum of the Brave” is created under the direction of Shinji Ushiro (“Blessing of the Campanella”) in the studio Olm. Youichi Katou (“Duel Masters Lost”) wrote the script, while Rika Murakami contributes the character design.
After current planning, the action series will be broadcast on Japanese television from January 2026. A simulcast has not yet been announced.
The original work of the same name by Rocket Shoukai has been published by Fujimi Shobo illustrations since December 2016 by the Kadokawa publisher in Japanese trade. A manga adaptation by Nakashima723 made his debut in June 2018.
