As part of the Anime Expo 2025, the Polish company CD Project Red announced that together with Studio Trigger on a second “cyberpunk: Edgerunners” series. We summarize.
Anime appears on Netflix
The new anime series is entitled “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2” and tells a new story from the world of video game “Cyberpunk 2077” in ten episodes. It is therefore not a second season of the first series from 2022.
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2” is being created in the studio Trigger under the direction of Kai Ikarashi, who was already involved in the first anime as a storyboard artist and animation director. The script is again written by producer Bartosz Sztybor.
Masahiko Otsuka is again responsible for the screen play, while Ichigo Kanno (animation director of the first series) creates the character design.
Like its predecessor, who will soon be released on Blu-ray at KSM Anime, the new series, which will soon appear at KSM Anime, is to be published internationally on Netflix. An appointment has not yet been mentioned. We keep you up to date.
