The VoD service Netflix announced today that the second »Mononoke« film has been secured and will be included in the program in a few weeks.
Available from August 2025
The evening filler entitled “Mononoke the Movie: Chapter II – The Ashes of Rage” will be available in the original sound with subtitles from August 14, 2025. A German language version has not yet been confirmed.
The studios Eota and Cell were responsible for the production of the approximately 74-minute strip, in which Kiyotaka Suzuki (“My Isekai Life”) was directed and Kenji Nakamura (“Tsurita”) acted as Chief Director.
The Japanese cinema premiere took place on March 14, 2025, while the first part was premiered in July 2024 and can already be found in German and Japanese at Netflix. A third part was announced for spring 2026.

Shortly after the showdown, the mysterious medicine dealer returns to the ōoku. There is a power struggle for the guardianship of the emperor’s son: no -fold botan, while Fuki – as a low -class court lady – takes risks.
Then mysterious cases happen: people burn to ashes. An enigmatic mononoke is playing his game, and only by unveiling the shape, truth and reason can the dealer delete the fire of anger.
