The South Korean company Kocao Entertainment recently announced that the second season of “Solo Leveling” was the most popular series on Crunchyroll in the first quarter of 2025. We summarize.

The media group Kocao Entertainment has the rights to the original web novel and weboOO series from »Solo Leveling« and publishes them in South Korea. Kocao Piccoma, a sister company, is responsible for anime production together with Anime and Crunchyroll.
So when it comes to “solo leveling”, the company has full control and is in the picture-which is why the statement about the success in Crunchyroll is probably correct, even if it does not come directly from the streaming service.
According to Kocao Entertainment, the second season of the anime adaptation of »Solo Leveling« in all regions in which Crunchyroll is available, occupies the top position of the charts and was by far the most popular series in the first quarter of 2025.
This makes it directly linked to the success of the first season, which was the most successful title on Crunchyroll last year. No wonder that the anime at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 was awarded a proud six prizes.
Third season is waiting
“Solo Leveling” also continues to write his success story in the publisher area: The franchise has even overtaken “One Piece” and “Demon Slayer” as the most read title on Kocao Entertainment’s cocoa. The sequel “Solo Leveling: Ragnarok” recently cracked the 100 million mark.
Nevertheless, fans are still looking forward to the announcement of a third season, which is considered pretty safe given the numerous successes.
The two previous seasons of »Solo Leveling« can be viewed in Germany with German and Japanese voice output at Crunchyroll. The first season will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray from July 18, 2025.
