This year, she surprised attendees with a bold and elegant twist—donning a long tuxedo-inspired gown paired with a matching hat, channeling classic Chanel tailoring with a modern edge.

The theme of the 2025 Met Gala, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates the influence and artistry of Black fashion and design. The event serves as a major fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and is held annually on the first Monday in May.
