In an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit, the two “Solo Leveling” producers Sota Furuhashi (Anlex) and Atsushi Kaneko (A-1 Pictures) recently answered a whole series of questions-and once again expressed a sequel.

Although the anime adaptation of »Solo Leveling« is extremely popular and has also seen very great success, ATSUSHI KANEKO already dampened the fans’ expectations a few weeks ago when he explained that a third season of the series was anything but a matter of form and could be long in coming.
This topic was again discussed in the Reddit questionnaire. But there is still no new information – on the contrary: the two producers reaffirmed their previous statements.
At the same time, they were honored to the deceased “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama by promoting the fans a central role in a homage:
»Do you know the gene skior (energy ball) from› Dragon Ball ‹? We need your energy now! If we want to make a third season, we need all the support and energy of the fans. I learned that from Akira Toriyama! “
Fans must be patient
Shortly before the Reddit-AAM, Aleks Le, the English voice actor at Sung Jin-Woo, also explained that “Season 3 will not come so soon”.
Rahul Purini, CEO of Crunchyroll, meanwhile revealed that in conversation with Deadline “The makers are currently working on many projects” and man “Find the right time for the next season” must. But he also hoped for a sequel.
All of these statements do not indicate an early production of the third season. In addition, according to Kaneko, the production of a single episode would take around ten to twelve months. So the fans have to be patient for the time being – even if there should soon be an announcement.
The two previous seasons of »Solo Leveling« can be viewed in Germany with German and Japanese voice output at Crunchyroll. The first season will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray from July 18, 2025.
