After Sony Pictures Entertainment has already confirmed that the original film “Scarlet” (Japanese: “Hateshi Naki Scarlet”) comes to the cinemas internationally, it is now also clear when the strip will be shown in this country.
Heavy start in January 2026
The German premiere of »Scarlet« is scheduled for January 29, 2026. It is still unclear whether the evening filler is only shown in the original sound with subtitles or also with German dubbing in the cinemas.
The studio Chizu is responsible for the production of the anime film, in which Mamoru Hosoda (“The boy and the Beast”) directs the direction.
In the main roles of the Japanese speaker cast, Mana Ashida (Ookami-Sama in “Lonely Castle in the Mirror”) can be heard as Scarlet and Masaki Okada as Hijiri. The Japanese premiere takes place on November 21, 2025.
