The US company Sony Pictures Entertainment, which also includes the Crunchyroll streaming service, announced today that the “Chainsaw Man” film will be brought to the cinema internationally. We summarize.

The canvas offshoot entitled “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Refere Arc” starts on September 19, 2025 in the Japanese cinemas and will be shown in over 80 countries from September 24, 2025. It has not yet been explicitly confirmed whether Germany, Austria and Switzerland are underneath.
As with the series, the Studio Mappa is responsible for the production of the evening filler, in which Tatsuya Yoshihara (“Wistoria”) direction and Masato Nakazono (“Oblivion Battery”) acts as an assistant director.
The previous twelve-part anime series ran on Japanese television from October to December 2022 and at Crunchyroll in the Simulcast. The publisher also brought the work on the market with German and Japanese setting on Blu-ray.
