South Park’s twenty-seventh season has been one for the record books so far. Following the drama taking place behind the scenes when it came to licensing issues and legal battles, the latest episodes featuring Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman haven’t pulled any punches so far. Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have been throwing punches at the current US administration, the “manosphere”, and most recently, Labubus. In the fourth episode of this current season, South Park takes things up a notch with a wild announcement for the Prince of Darkness.
If you have yet to watch the latest episode of South Park’s twenty-seventh season, “Wok is Dead,” be forewarned that we’ll be diving into serious spoiler territory. While the main plot of the latest installment focused on Butters attempting to get his hands on a rare Labubu for his crush’s birthday, wild things were brewing in the White House. Since the start of season twenty-seven, American President Donald Trump and Satan himself have been in a romantic relationship. In the show’s past, the ruler of Hell was in a relationship with Saddam Hussein, proving that Parker and Stone are more than willing to push the boundaries in the Comedy Central property. In a wild twist, it seems that Trump and the devil will be welcoming a new member to their twisted family.
Toward the end of the episode, Satan reveals that he is pregnant with Donald Trump’s baby, shocking both Jesus Christ and the town of South Park as a whole. Hilariously, the message was delivered following Butters and his crush summoning the pair by using a dark ritual involving one of the rarest Labubus. With the current season scheduled for ten episodes, we’re almost at the halfway mark for the twenty-seventh season, and we’re sure to see more developments when it comes to this wild union.
South Park’s Bright, Twisted Future
While South Park’s twenty-seventh season has six episodes left before it comes to an end, Parker and Stone previously signed a $1.5 billion deal with Paramount to create quite a few more stories for the Comedy Central series. The South Park creators will be making ten new episodes a year for the next five years, meaning we aren’t anywhere near done seeing the quartet of kids tackle wild scenarios. Of course, these upcoming installments might not be the grand finale for the series, as there is always the possibility that Stone and Parker will return beyond these seasons for even more surreal adventures.
Luckily, Parker and Stone have the approval to push forward with their controversial takes from new Paramount CEO David Ellison. Earlier this summer, Ellison shared the following statement regarding South Park and how he sees its creators, “Matt and Trey are incredibly talented. They are equal opportunity offenders and always have been.”
