Two weeks before, on July 5, 2025, the Side Story episode “Hoshina’s Day Off”, which was previously included in the recap film for the first season, will be broadcast and streamed on X.
The second season of »Kaiju No. 8 «Created again under the direction of director Shigeyuki Miya (» Afterlost «) in the studio production IG Yuuichirou Kido (» Fruits Basket «) writes the script, while Tetsuya Nishio contributes the character design.
The twelve -part first season ran on Japanese television from April to June 2024 and is available on Crunchyroll in this country. The streaming service has also secured the license to continue and shows it in the Simulcast.

In a world that is repeatedly threatened by huge monsters, the so-called Kaiju, 32-year-old Kafka Hibino dreams of becoming part of the elite unit to combat these creatures. After several unsuccessful attempts, however, he only works in the clean -up team.
