On the official X-account of the anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia” (Japanese: “Boku No Hero Academia”), it was announced today that the eighth season on October 4, 2025 will be on Japanese television. You can find a visual below.

The final “My Hero Academia” relay is again under the direction of Naomi Nakayama (“Casshern Sins”) in the studio Bones. Yousuke Kuroda (“Mashle”) again wrote the script, while Yoshihiko Umakoshi contributes the character design.
Crunchyroll shows the sequel in the original Japanese version with German subtitles in the Simulcast. It has not yet been confirmed whether German synchronization is also planned. We keep you up to date.
The seven previous seasons, all four films and the spin-off series »Vigilantes«, which has recently been extended by a second season, are already available on demand. The seventh season will be released on DVD and Blu-ray this year.
