On the official X-account of the anime adaptation of “My Awward Senpai” (Japanese: “Bukiyou na Senpai.”) It was announced today that it will start on Japanese television in October 2025. You can find a first trailer below.
Opening presented
“My Awkward Senpai” is being created under the direction of director Ayumu Kotake (“PET”) in the studio Elle. Mio Inoue (“The Eminence in Shadow”) wrote the script, while Kenrou Tokuda (“Medaka Box”) creates the character design.
The opening song “Bukiyo Na I Love You” is sung by the pop band Angela, which among other things contributed the opening songs for “The ReinCarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World” and “My Next Life as a Villainess”.
The original manga series of the same name comes from Makoto Kudou and has been released in the “Young Gangan” magazine by Square Enix since December 2019. The Romcom plant is internationally available in English through Comikey.
