On the official X-account of the anime implementation of “The Ramparts of Ice” (Japanese: “Koori No Jouheki”), it was announced today that it will be broadcast on Japanese television from April 2026. You can find a first teaser below.
Anime from Studio Kai
“The Ramparts of Ice” is being created under the direction of director Mankyuu (“The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague”) in the studio Kai. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (“Mecha Ude”) wrote the script, while Miki Ogino contributes the character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese speaker cast, Anna Nagase (Natsuko Hirose in »Zenshu«) as Koyuki Hikawa and Shouya Chiba (Taiki Inomata in »Blue Box«) can be heard as a minato amamiya. Fuuka Izumi (Elie in »Ishura«) Miki Azumi.
The original manga series of the same name from Koucha Agasawa was released from May 2018 to April 2022 on the “Manga Mee” website and was brought to Japanese trade in 14 volumes in 14 volumes. The work has not yet been available in Germany.
