On the official X-account of the anime implementation of “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary” (Japanese: “Kaya-Chan Wa Kowakunai”), it was announced today that the series will be broadcast on Japanese television from January 2026. You can find a teaser below.

“Kaya-Chan Isn’t Scary” is created under the direction of director Hiroshi Ikehata (“Dark Gathering”) in the East Fish Studio. Shigeru Murakoshi wrote the script, while Tarou Yamada and Hiroyuki Moriguchi create character design.
In then Hauptrollen des japaisschen Casts syndzaza Tachibana (Ou Yuani in »Bad Girl«) als Kaya-chan soway Maya Uchida (Tenka Izumo in »Then Slave«) als Chie-sensi zu hön. Eucaky Kaji (Finnian in »Black Clover«) vertont Namu Ebisumori.
The original manga series of the same name by Tarou Yuri has been published in Japan since April 2022 in the “Kurage Bunch” magazine. In Germany, the work under the title “Kaya-chan is not afraid” is available in German by Dokico.
