On the X-account of the anime adaptation of »Shabake« it was announced today that it will be broadcast on Japanese television from October 2025. You can see a first trailer below.

“Shabake” is produced under the direction of director Takahiro Ookawa (“Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari”) in the Studio Bandai Namco Pictures. Touko Machida wrote the script, while Akari Minagawa contributes the character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in “My Hero Academia”) as Ichitarou and Kouji Okino (Jin-Seong Yoo in “Solo Leveling”) can be heard as Nikichi. Taku Yashiro (Kasha in “Demon Prince”) set to music Sasuke.
The original series of the same name by Megumi Hatanaka has been published with illustrations by Yuu Shibata in Japan since December 2001. The work, which inspired a three-minute short anime in July 2021, is not available in German.
