On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” (Japanese: “Vigilante: Boku No Hero Academia Illegals”), it was announced today that the second season starts in January 2026. You can find a new visual below.

The second “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” relay is again under the direction of Kenichi Suzuki (“Cells at Work!”) In the Studio Bones film. Yousuke Kuroda (“Mashle”) wrote the script, while Takahiko Yoshida contributes the character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Shuichirou Umeda (Hikaru Indou in “The Summer Hikaru Died”) as Kouichi Haimawari and Ikumi Hasegawa (Ikuyo Kita in “Bocchi the Rock”) can be heard as Kazuho Haneyama.
The 13-part first season, which ran on Japanese television in the spring season 2025, is already available at Crunchyroll in German and Japanese. The streaming service also shows the sequel to the Simulcast.

Koichi Haimawari could not be a hero, but sets in his little quirk to secretly do good. After a collision with local clubs, he joins two other “heroes”. They are inexperienced, but determined – but they quickly realize that courage is not enough in the fight against evil alone.
