On the X account of the anime adaptation of “Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota” (Japanese: “Kao Ni Denai Kashiwada-San to Kao Ni Deru Oota-Kun”), it was announced today that it will start on Japanese television in October 2025.

“Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota” is created under the direction of Tomohiro Kamitani (“Katana Madidens”) in the studio Polon. Michiko Yokote (“Bleach”) wrote the script, while Naoto Nakamura contributes the character design.
In the main roles of the Japanese cast, Akane Fujita (Sagiri Izumi in “Eromanga Sensei”) can be heard as Kashiwada-San and Kyouhei Natsume (Tatsuya Oda in “Loner Life in Another World”) as Oota-Kun. Yuuya hirosis set to music tadoko.
The original manga series of the same name by Fuyu Azuma was released from June 2018 to June 2023 in ten volumes in Japanese trade. The work is available by Bookwalker and Mangaplaza with English translation.

Kashiwada -san reacts carefree and expressionless to almost everything – her facial expressions always remain rigid. Quite differently Oota -Kun: his face shows every emotion, he plans pranks and overturned with enthusiasm – mostly in vain.
