A few weeks after the last episode of the first season of “The Beginning After the End”, for short “Tbate”, the series creator Turtleme looks back on the polarizing anime adaptation. We summarize.

The long-awaited anime adaptation of “Tbate” caused a sensation during the 2025 spring season-but mostly negative kind. In particular, the weak animation quality met with criticism for many fans of the original template and brought the series into the mocking nickname “PowerPoint of the End”.
A petition for a remake that now has over 58,000 signatures quickly went online. But also author Brandon Lee, better known as Turtleme, also expressed himself quite meaningfully about the implementation of his life’s work in the past.
Almost three months after the end of the broadcast, the excitement still does not seem to have completely subsided. A current statement by Turtleme even suggests that it has already completed the anime internally.
Autors stain
“Even if I think there is always room for improvements and I could have done some things better afterwards, it is best for me not to expire too much by concentrating on the novel and the comic – I can contribute to telling a good story. I have to trust that my partners will implement the anime as much as possible. “
As for the progress in the novel, Turtleme also made an interesting revelation: “I am currently writing on the last section of the last book in the series and ending the entire series. I wrote two million words in over ten years. It is time to let go of this baby. “
However, for some time until the anime adaptation has reached this point. Because in the course of next year the second season should appear – and many fans are convinced: It can only get better.
