On the official X account of the anime adaptation of the “Rascal Does not Dream” series (Japanese: “Sishun Buta Yarou”), it was announced today that the new series entitled “Rascal Does not Dream of Santa Claus” will start on July 5, 2025 in Japanese television. You can see a new trailer below.

The sequel, which is located in terms of content after the film “Rascal Does not Dream of a Knapsack Kid”, is created under the direction of Souichi Masui (“Heaven’s Design Team”) in the studio cloverwork. Masahiro Yokotani (“Makeine”) wrote the script, while Satomi Tamura contributes the character design.

The anime implementation of the »Rascal Does Not Dream« series has so far consisted of a 13-part first season and three sequel films. A disc release of the series and the first film took place through the publisher Peppermint Anime, which will also publish the other two evening fillers in the course of this year.
