The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 revealed the first teaser trailer, along with confirming an April 2026 release date. The sequel was announced in October 2023.



Studio Project No. 9 is returning to animate, with Chihiro Kumano taking over as director over Season 1’s Wang Lihua. You can watch the new trailer below.

The first season of the romantic comedy was animated by studio Project No. 9, and it was directed by Kenichi Imaizumi. It ran for a total of 12 episodes, and it was voted best anime of the Winter 2023 season. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten anime is based on the 2018 light novel series by Saekisan with illustrations by Hanekoto. It was first serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, while SB Creative acquired and began publishing it under its GA Bunko label from June 2019.

It also has a manga adaptation with art by Wan Shibata and composition by Suzu Yuki which has been serialized in Square Enix’s Manga Up! since January 2020. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English.

The story follows Mahiru, a beautiful young girl who is commonly referred to as an “angel.” She meets Amane, an ordinary average Joe who meets Mahiru one fateful day during a rainstorm. They then begin a relationship, which has already developed significantly since the first season.
