On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “The Apothecary Diaries” (Japanese: “Kusuriya no Hitorigoto”), it was announced today that it will be received after the second season. You can find a first teaser below.

It is not yet known whether the sequel is a third season, a film or an OVA. A start or release date as well as those involved in the production are still open.
The first two seasons of “The Apothecary Diaries” were created under the direction of Akinori Fudesaka (“Pokémon Evolutions”) in the studios Toho animation and Olm. Norihiro Naganuma (“The Ancient Magus’ Bride”) acted as Chief Director.
The VoD service Crunchyroll currently offers 47 episodes in the Japanese original sound with German subtitles on call. The 48th episode is expected to appear today at 6:15 p.m. and concludes the simulcast of the second season.
