TOKYOPOP has announced a slate of Disney-themed manga releases scheduled for Summer 2025, including new editions and box sets based on films from Disney, Pixar, and the Descendants and Tim Burton franchises.
In August, TOKYOPOP will release four more titles. The first is Disney Descendants: Evie’s Wicked Runway – The Complete Manga Collectionavailable from August 5. Written by Jason Muell with art by Natsuki Minami, the 240-page volume follows Evie, a character from the Descendants series, as she enters a fashion competition in Auradon.
Also releasing on August 5 is a full-color hardcover edition of Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas manga. Adapted by Jason Muell with artwork by Jen Asuka and Manuel Puppo, the 176-page volume reimagines the 1993 animated film in manga format for readers aged six and up.
Later in the month, on August 19, TOKYOPOP will publish Disney Alice in Wonderland Mangaa 354-page adaptation of the Tim Burton-directed film by Jun Abe. The story follows Alice Kingsleigh as she returns to the world of Underland and confronts the Red Queen.
Rounding out the summer lineup is Disney Pixar’s Toy Story: 30th Anniversary Manga Hardcover Editionalso scheduled for August 19. This 272-page edition includes manga versions of Toy Story and Toy Story 2and features a foreword by Shawn P. Krause, an animator and layout artist who worked on the original Toy Story film.
