Megumi Ishitani, director of several »One Piece« episodes, has revealed in an X-contribution that she has not looked or read a story section of the anime and manga to this day. We summarize.
Too sad story
The Megumi Ishitani, which is very active on social networks, has been involved in the »One Piece« production since 2021 and was not only responsible for several episodes, but also for the highly acclaimed TV special »One Piece: Fan Letter«.
Although she describes herself as a big “One Piece” fan and is always familiar with the current events due to work, Ishitani made it clear that an action strand of the work is an emotional limit for her:
“It is difficult for me to look at stories that I know in advance that they end sadly … That’s why I have left the› Kuma ‹-Arc in anime and have not yet read the original. […] Everyone says that you have to cry when reading, and that is exactly what stops me. “
Ishitani also explained that for a long time she could not get through to read it in the “Marineford” Arc for a long time-a phase of history that is notorious among fans for her emotional deep blows.
But what is your opinion on the two stages of action? Did you also have to cry? Write it to us in the comments!
