Last week, “Dan da Dan” and “The summer in which Hikaru died” made it into the global Netflix charts. We summarize.
Two anime in the top 10
The summer season 2025 is in full swing and Netflix has apparently hit the mark with its new anime simulcasts, because with “Dan Da Dan” and “The summer in which Hikaru died” are represented two weeks after their premiere in the global top of the non-English-language series.
The second season of “Dan da Dan” took an impressive fourth place with 5.4 million in the week from July 7th to 13th, 2025 and “the summer, in which Hikaru died”, made it to eighth place in the same period. Incidentally, the third season of “Squid Game” is at the top.
But the ranking of the following week should also be interesting, after all, the hotly expected second part of “Sakamoto Days” recently celebrated its premiere and should also be able to get involved in the global Netflix charts.
